Another question to add to the mix of us, and it's an easy one, too... Having recently had the chance to bring this up, here it is:
Some of my favorites are pizza, good salads, a lot of Italian dishes, Spanish or fried rice, trifle, many many pastries, good BBQ, sausage gravy and biscuits, catfish and hushpuppies, calamari, haddock, scallops, raw veggies, white chocolate, fresh brewed iced tea, and don't forget COFFEE!! I know there's more, but it's a start...
And to add to the discussion,
There isn't much I don't like, but mostly weird animal parts, anything egg salad, and brussel sprouts. I'm not a fan of tuna or bologna, but can eat them on rare occasion. That's about it on that list. So, let us know - What tickles your tastebuds? And what would make you go on an instant fast rather than have to choke it down? Caution: answering this question may cause increased hunger and salivation; please answer responsibly. ;)

Of all the foods that i like, Cheesecake (yum) would have to top the list. Probably because we don't get it often. Others would be, nice cup'o'joe early in the morning enjoying my deck outdoors, eggnog at Christmas, fresh apple pie in the fall, pumpkin pie at thanksgiving, fresh corn on the cob dripping with melted butter and topped with salt and enough pepper to make a normal person's eyes water, hot dogs and homemade beans that have been cooking all day on a saturday combined with the smell of fresh baked bread, a nice piece of steak that has been slow cooked with onions, potatoes, and butter, in tinfoil over charcoal (gas doesn't cut it in this situation) to the point, about an hour later, that the meat just falls apart in your mouth.....
DISLIKES: most of the so-called food that is presented to contestants on "Fear Factor".
Don't get me wrong, if I was on the show, I would eat whatever was presented, but it would have to be for a heck of a lot more than $50K...
Well, besides all of the foods that have already been mentioned....at the top of the list is chocolate. Chocolate is the best cure for anything (spoken like a true nurse to be :) ). As for anchovey's even though I have never had them, I never will. I am like Jen, really not picky. Chinese is one of my favorites, but the only time I ever get it is when we order it at work. Brian isn't very crazy about it so we never go out for it. I love cheesecake and really yummy pastry's filled with anything fattening! Whenever we go out to eat the first thing I look at on the menu is desserts! I've tried to get the dentist to pull that sweet tooth of mine.
Let me clarify a little bit here. I like oriental food, it just doesn't always like me. Many years ago I used to eat it and get sick. But I do like it, like General Soa's chicken, lo mein, fried rice, spring and egg rolls - we used to eat often at the Panda Buffet in Rochester, which was great, casue you could get whatever you wanted, but they are long since gone. But Cheryl's right that I usually, if we go out, go to someplace like Bugaboo, TGIF, Smokey Bones or the 99. But that's the lo down there.
I'm also more of a person who could skip the dessert, but I really like appetizers. And I love steak, but it's gotta be done right - lil pink in the middle, despite the health warnings. Ya can't go wrong with steak n potatoes Jen! And Ben, no matter how fancy grills get, ya can't beat charcoal grillin'! What a difference in flavor! We'll all have to get together for a good ol' fashioned cookout sometime!!
I also go through spells of vegetarianism, though. The longest I've gone vegetarian was 6 months, and I gotta admit, I enjoy that as well. I just can't seem to convert completely, but I do enjoy it when I do it.
