I haven't posted for a while, so here's one for you: It's a two-fold riddle, and this is what it is. It's the lyrics (part of) to a song, and I want you to try to:
A: tell me the name of the song and who sings it (I'm not sure if it's an original song or re-done one - you have to tell me who sings the one I have).
B: Why I'm posting it.
Here are the lyrics:
"The winds that blow remind me
Of what has been, and what can never be."
Good luck peoples. Actually, I had no trouble finding the answer to the first part, but I'm looking forward to some creative yet wrong answers on the second part. Prove me wrong. Don't worry. I'll let you know if your right. Thanks! (snicker, snicker)
I'll fill everyone in in a week. Ciao!

A. Nickel Creek
B. Because it is a country song, and you hate country songs, and you want to prove how dumb they are? lol
I am a lighthouse worn by the weather and the waves
I keep my lamp lit to warn the sailors on their way
I'll tell a story, paint you a picture from my past
I was so happy but joy in this life seldom lasts
I had a keeper, he helped me warn the ships at sea
We had grown closer 'til his joy meant everything to me
And he was to marry a girl who shown with beauty and light
They loved each other, and with me watched the sunsets into nights
And the waves crashing around me
The sand slips out to sea
And the winds that blow remind me
Of what has been and what can never be
She'd had to leave us; my keeper, he prayed for a safe return
But when the night came, the weather to a raging storm had turned
He watched her ship fight, but in vain against the wild and terrible wind
And me so helpless, as dashed against the rocks she met her end
And the waves crashing around me
The sand slips out to sea
And the winds that blow remind me
Of what has been and what can never be
Then on the next day, my keeper found her washed up on the shore
He kissed her cold face, and that they'd be together soon he swore
I saw him crying, watched as he buried her in the sand
Then he climbed my tower, and off the edge of me he ran
And the waves crashing around me
The sand slips out to sea
And the winds that blow remind me
Of what has been and what can never be
I am a lighthouse worn by the weather and the waves
And though I'm empty I still warn the sailors on their way

To answer the first part, i believe it is by Nickel Creek, or at least that is what my good friend Google says, and if I read the words carefully, and then check out your blog, and i see what is going on at your job in dover, hmmmmm...seems that you just had the big window delivered....hmmmmm..winds blow remind me of what has been and what can never be.....hmmmm guess i would say order another window....lol

I do not believe that i gave this graybeard character the permission needed to put any of my lines in writing on this blog for any reason....the only people that i gave permission to was nickel back. you will be hearing from my lawyer.
