Ben and I got to hook up today! Ben invited me to come visit and go out ice fishing with him, which I have never done before.

We had a great time out on the ice, despite a small mishap getting my fishing license, and were able to spend the day catching up on our lives while catching some fish. We were able to catch 3 bass, two of them good sized, and a yellow perch who was pretty upset that we disturbed him. But all of them were released with no injuries, and got a free meal for allowing us to bring them up and take their picture! I got to see his beautiful house, meet Beka, Sommer and Autumn - Ben has a great family to be proud of! We had some great conversation, I was well fed for the day, and had some of my favorite - COFFEE!
It was such a great day, and hopefully others of us can get together and create some great memories! Thank you very much to Ben, Beka, Autumn, Sommer and Zues for such great hospitality, food, conversation and memories! And fortunately for me, even though Ben had threatened to push me into the water, a request made by Cheryl, I wouldn't have fit down the small holes anyway! ;) 'Night!

ordinarily i would not allow a guy to post in the internet world that we "hooked up" today due to implication of an "alternate lifestyle". But seeings you were posting about "fishing" I will see it for the pun that it is. It was a great time on a gorgeous day.
By the way, in the first picture above, which I obviously was NOT ready for, I got caught pulling my sleeve down. To clear the record, I am NOT singing, "I'm so pretty...oh, so pretty..." No matter what the consensus is, I'll never admit to it. P.S. no comments needed from you graybeard!! (all in fun) wouldn't want to be a contender for the crank!!
Don't worry, Ben. As far as I am concerned, I have given up the job and passed it on to the person who really deserves the job, which would be Shaun. And I say that in the utmost respect, and because of that respect, I resigned the position to someone more qualified. ;) And I thought it was "Tiptoe through the tulips" you were singing, but I was too busy trying to manage the camera, so I'm sure I'm wrong. And I wouldn't even know what alternative lifestyle means, so here's a big manly handshake and I'll be sure to belch in your general direction so that nobody gets the wrong ideas.
Sorry, Donna. If you want them, you're going to have to go back to the lake, 'cause they're back there swimmin' around saying, "he he he, suckers!"
