In the spirit of "mixing it up" a bit, and keeping in line with the question ideas, perhaps we can ask questions each day, each of us posting a question (or those that have the time - I don't think everyone needs to everyday) and making them so that those who dare to answer can answer without spending much time at all answering them, except for Ben, who drives his keyboard like he drives his cars. Fun questions, deep ones, shallow ones - anything. But make them so that sometimes we can pop in, spend two minutes giving a quick answer, them go back to refereeing the kids, burning the roast, or swallowing an Atkins-friendly power lunch while trying to meet a deadline. Of course, if you're like Ben and can type 472 wpm, let no one stop you. I like seeing the interaction, and seeing numbers under the comments. Hearing from everyone makes this so interesting. Good idea? Bad idea? Already discussed idea? Feel free to throw things at me. Just make sure that they are either edible or valuable.
I'll start one, and try to get a new one every day or two. Dare to answer. (I'll start easy)
What are your favorite things? This first things that pop into mind. Write as many or as few. And spouses/children/family members are understood as top of the list, so we'll save you some time by acknowledging that, and now you can list just general stuff. I'll list mine:
Frogs, camping in the summer, white chocolate, jelly beans, music, my DeWalt compound miter slide saw, music (except country), coffee, REAL maple syrup, stale marshmallow peeps, a clean room, coffee, Christmas, making my own music cd's, a steak cooked just right, the smell of pine, standing at Pebble Cove in Rye on a stormy day watching the waves, laughing and making Cheryl and the boys laugh, especially when liquids are in transit, a darn good pen, flannel sheets, cursing our annoying bird, coffee...
I guess in the spirit of quick answers I should shut up. If I think of more, I'll add a comment. Please answer! Even if it's only one thing! Ok, Ok, I'll shut up! Geez, I'm just enjoying all this, ok?! :) Til Tomorry...

Ahoy, Captain Graybeard, repeating yourself in your list (coffee, music) could be considered redundant, but understandable. With age comes senility. Maybe you were just overtired from shoveling all that snow. (ha,ha) The one thing I relish and miss the most would be being bored. There is something relaxing about not knowing 3-2-or even one day in advance what needs to be done. Extras would be: 4-wheeling, ice fishing, cheesecake of all sorts,(as indicated by the additional 4 inches around my waist since you've all seen me), bowhunting, building things, teasing & playing with my kids, my dog, driving my wife crazy(she likes it when I...never mind), thankful for all the adult necessities like ben-gay, prep-h, fiber related products, and such.
Everyone keeps talking about "spicing things up" and "mixing it up", so in an effort to accomplish I will be posting nude pictures of my dog, shortly(you thought i was going to say me didn't you. "My eyes, my eyes, the terror of it all").
P.s. Another thing I always liked was putting smiles on your faces, especially as you read this.
P.s.s. My wife doesn't really see my humor either, but she laughs to be polite.
Likes ... well, I still love sports - as you can imagine, THIS was my year! The Pats and Red Sox have completed my life. I can now die a happy man. My dog, my australian shepherd spark of joy - as most of you know, I never had a dog (blame my parents) and so when we got a house - that was my first priority. It took over a year and a half to find the right dog for our lifestyle, as we both work in Portland and he is alone 10-11 hours a day! A Steak and Cheese sandwhich and IBC root beer is the most rewarding meal there is. I'm still an avid waterskier, barefooter, wakeboarder ... was the Maine State Champ for 5 years straight :) Spending time with wifey ... Ben, you're so right, our lives are too busy these days and any time we can spend together is precious.
That makes sense Ben - I thought that your dog I saw leaving Cedar Waters last week. That could be a bad influence on your dog, Shaun - watch out! Of course, Ben, if you set up a web site, you might be able to make some big bucks. I don't know if mentioning reading was a good idea, Chris. Shaun seems to have allergic reactions to books, so we may not see him for a while. Do they give you hives, too, Shaun? Just curious. And I've been senile for a long time, Ben. Did I mention I like coffee?
Books? What's that? Reading is for sissys. I'm much more efficient ... I rent the movie.
SO I forgot to mention one of my FAVORITE things ... Mountain Dew! AND with all the new flavors, life rocks.
Sleep is a fad, drink DEW!
Well, since everyone else is doing it, I guess I'll succumb to the peer pressure and follow you guys too. . . Hmmmm, now what does that say about me? :-)
I enjoy traveling around the world (11 countries and three continents so far), the US (44 states--only 6 to go!!!), movies, SOCCER, four-wheeling in my Jeep, hanging out with friends and playing games, trying new restaurants, watching University of Tennessee play football, keeping up with friends. . .
Have a great weekend,
Rick
How could I forget snowboarding and skiing here in the mountains of Colorado?????
Hi Donna, did I read you right that Shaun was coming out of the closet?!? or was that going back in????!??! I learn something new here every day. Just kidding shaun ole buddy. As a realtor I can't discriminate anyway. ( I'm such an arse) -....
Dude, don't listen to anything my sister says. She's been known to ramble on and on ... kind of like crazy people do; she never really makes sense.
